Job Description



SUMMARY:



The Senior Administrative Assistant performs a broad range of more complex administrative duties to support managerial or senior managerial staff including serving as liaison for communications with management and executive staff, maintaining workflow in absence of manager, developing complex reports, memos and other correspondence, and managing the appointment calendar.





RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:




  • Serves as liaison for communications with management and senior staff.
  • Relieves manager of administrative details and maintains workflow in absence of manager.
  • Researches, compiles and prepares data for complex reports, memos and other correspondence.
  • Maintains the daily appointment calendar, scheduling and organizing meetings as required.
  • Monitors the ongoing status of projects and follows up on open items as necessary.
  • Makes travel and lodging arrangements.
  • Answers phone calls and routes calls as appropriate.
  • Adheres to the Employee Code of Ethical Conduct.
  • Completes other duties and special projects as requested.

    EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:



    EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT

    EXPERIENCE:



    Associates degree in business or related field preferred or the equivalent in related coursework and relevant experience required. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company's learning philosophy, is required. Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.







    EXPERIENCE:



    Four years administrative support experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.







    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:




  • Excellent knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service skills are essential.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills required.
  • Understanding of office practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Professional Communications including punctuation, spelling and grammar.
  • Attention to detail and multi-tasking skills required.
  • Ability to complete work within specified timeframes.
  • Ability to work effectively independently.
  • Strong mathematical skills preferred.







    WORKING CONDITIONS:



    Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards.
