Job Description



SUMMARY:

The Managing Director, Digital Delivery Center of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for the strategy and successful execution of Emerging Markets' transition to Agile solutions delivery. This includes selecting a common Agile framework (methodology, principles, practices) such as SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and working across Emerging Markets' business units to adopt the framework and associated tools. Additionally, this role is responsible for defining common DevOps standards and supporting tools in partnership with business unit technology teams to enable the transition to a model of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) for fast and flexible software development. Finally, this role is responsible for facilitating best practices for digital user experience (UX) designs for websites and mobile applications.



RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

  • Defines the Agile transformation vision and strategy
  • Selects and tailors a common Agile framework (methodology, principles, practices) such as SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) to the organization
  • Defines near-term/long-term goals and drive approaches to ensure realization of business benefits associated with the transition to Agile
  • Ensures Agile coaching is delivered both consistently and effectively across business units to ensure Agile teams are adopting best practices
  • Leads the Agile CoE through facilitating organizational learning, change management, and process adoption of Agile via metrics, benefits realization, outcomes, and retrospective findings
  • Counsels and influences leaders and associates to embrace Agile principles, methods, and behaviors to gain and sustain commitment to cultural change
  • Defines a common DevOps framework and supporting tools in partnership with business unit technology teams to enable the transition to a model of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) for fast and flexible software development both on-premise and in the cloud
  • Leads the DevOps CoE through facilitating organizational learning, change management, and process adoption of DevOps CI/CD via metrics and retrospective findings
  • Defines and facilitates best practices for digital user experience (UX) design and leads the Digital UX CoE through leveraging leading edge visual designs, building of customer personas, and developing customer journey maps
  • Works with IT Sourcing and Vendor Management to ensure vendors adhere to Emerging Markets' Agile, DevOps, and Digital UX standards and practices where appropriate
  • Develops workforce plans and invests in developing and growing a diverse and talented team in partnership with Emerging Markets' Human Resources and IT Sourcing & Vendor Management functions
  • Develops, tracks, and controls operating (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets in partnership with Emerging Markets' Finance and IT Performance Management functions

DIRECTION EXERCISED:

Directly supervises exempt and non-exempt staff in accordance with company policies and applicable Federal and State Laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to effectively interviewing, hiring, terminating, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; supporting and encouraging the engagement process.
