Job Description


Responsible for providing services to address the critical elements of organizational effectiveness and change, including organizational design, workforce analytics and planning, and the business process/people dimension of transformation. This position supports the development of enterprise staffing models and staffing analytics. Acts as a primary liaison with and between other enterprise business units and priority teams. Exchanges information with professional staff, vendors, managers and executives, offering assistance in addressing multi functional business unit needs. In addition, this position is responsible for fostering and enforcing consistent, enterprise-wide processes and philosophies.


  • Develops and maintains consistent staffing models and work analytics based on workflows and other work data
  • Creates the necessary work flows and data collection tools to assist in work and staffing analysis
  • Evaluates and identifies organizational structure, supporting process and staffing for effectiveness
  • Conducts analysis of sensitive strategic target operating model designs (new, M&A opportunities, re-orgs)
  • Assesses and predicts the impact of technology on processes and staffing
  • Conducts workforce impact analysis with stakeholders -- both leadership and subject matter experts -- to build comprehensive base-line assessments including current staffing models, workflows and cost/benefit analysis and create a roadmap for identified change in key areas
  • Works proactively with Product Owners, HR, IT, and enterprise and business line stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvements in systems, processes, and functionality to streamline and reduce costs
  • Fosters ownership at all levels of the enterprise
  • Facilitates and enforces governance of Enterprise Way philosophies
  • Drives continuous improvement opportunities
  • Assists in identifying and implementing efficiencies through technology or process improvement on cross department initiatives or strategies
  • Represents unit on various projects and committees, as assigned
  • Leads committees at department and corporate level
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information processes
  • Works with minimum or no supervision and exercises sufficient discretion and independent judgment

    This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.



    Bachelor's degree in insurance, business or related field. Degree work or experience in data analytics or accounting preferred. Certifications in but not limited to ISO 9000-2001 certified, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Manager, Six-Sigma or other Quality designations preferred. Insurance designations such as CPCU preferred. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company's learning philosophy, is required. Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.


    Seven years of progressive responsibility in operations management, analytical development and reporting, and workflow design. Experience leading meetings, resolving issues and ability to build inter-department relationships. Two years in an insurance organization which provides the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities. Two years project leadership experience preferred. Additionally, this position requires demonstrated knowledge and expertise with enterprise operations and workflows and how these can be leveraged to solve business needs.


  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret policy documents, technical and financial information, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills including knowledge of advance features.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including advanced writing.
  • Thorough knowledge of analytical practices and ability to capture, manipulate and present staffing data and analysis.
  • Knowledge of enterprise organizational structure and work flows.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution and resolution of complex, multifaceted issues in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish a personal rapport at all levels of the organization, especially internal customers and to resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
  • Advanced conflict management, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Comprehensive professional and business knowledge with multiple areas of expertise.

    Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards. Minimal travel.
