SUMMARY:

This position will articulate business challenges and requests in technology terms and the development of small to medium business cases to convert requests/recommendations and deliverable solutions.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:



    RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

    • Proposing solutions for business ideas, suggestions, problems and requirements.
    • Develop comprehensive requirement specifications as part of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to define functional and non functional requirements that Business Analysts and Developers will use to change new or currently deployed solutions.
    • Support optimization of the SDLC process to ensure quality and timely delivery of automated solutions.
    • Define business cases and Cost Benefit Analyses that effectively inform prioritization decisions.
    • Collaborate with QA team to ensure traceability between defined test cases and elicited testing requirements.
    • Collaborate with Development team to ensure effective hand off of requirements and identification of requirements defects.
    • Support capacity planning to optimize the effectiveness of the department.
    • Support estimation process which includes business users, development representatives, and testing representatives.
    • Support implementation of application life cycle management (ALM) tools along with QA Manager.
    • Identify and implement optimal process improvements to ensure effective capture of functional requirements for both enhancement projects and defect resolution.
    • Prepares and delivers presentations as necessary to communicate advantages of system and process changes.
    • Assists in leading organization and execution of user acceptance testing.
    • Assists in the management of vendor relationships including priority of deliverables.
    • Builds relationships with key business unit resources to gain understanding of overall business unit direction.
    • Support IT activities for small to medium business initiatives using appropriate project management methodology.
    • Performs peer reviews for fellow Business Analysts business requirements ensuring conformity to standards and quality.
    • Prepares status and management reports as required.
    • Responsible for configuration changes in systems.
