Job Description

COBX- Pharmacy Services







SUMMARY:



This position is responsible for supporting pharmacy quality improvement projects including but not limited to clinical pharmacy Star initiatives.



RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:




  • Assist and support in the planning, development, coordination and implementation of approved clinical quality improvement projects for the Medicare Part D benefit.
  • Develop, analyze, and update processes and controls related to the implementation and maintenance of internal and external quality improvement projects.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret prescription claims data.
  • Develop procedures/controls and provide recommendations for ongoing improvement and efficiency of updated processes.
  • Provide status updates to leadership, and help to prepare ROI analysis of quality interventions.
  • Independently develop and plan reports, papers, presentations, and other materials for members, providers, payers, and other stakeholders as required in a clear and concise manner.
  • Manage, monitor, and independently resolve issues relating to multiple ongoing projects, providing timely updates and recommendations to leadership.
  • Preparation of reports, presentations, letters and other communications.
  • Assist personnel (both internal and external) by answering questions, supplying information, and providing relevant training, as required.
  • Represent department and division as requested on work groups and special assignments.
  • Develop working relationships and collaborate with health care professionals, pharmacy services, and other internal and external personnel.
  • Prepare and maintain written desk-level procedures

    Other duties as assigned.

    EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:





    EDUCATION:



    A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health, or a pharmacy-related field is preferred. Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.



    EXPERIENCE:



    Prior experience in a pharmacy-related field is preferred.



    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:




  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving experience and ability - defining a problem, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing conclusions
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including but not limited to the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Tasks may include mail merges, database maintenance, and extensive use of Excel formulae
  • Ability to apply basic algebra and perform mathematical analysis



    WORKING CONDITIONS:



    Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards.
