Job Description

SUMMARY:

Primarily responsible for coordinating operations with regards to a broad portfolio of IT infrastructure projects. Provides project management analysis, methodology, and coordination to more effectively identify, plan, and implement initiatives on the IT portfolio.

 The IT Portfolio Analyst will partner with Project Managers and the portfolio owner in the analysis, execution, implementation, and close-out of IT projects. Develops and maintains portfolio level reporting. Operates the project intake pipeline and supervises the logistics of turning business requests into IT initiatives.

 RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

  • Partner with project managers and the portfolio owner in the analysis, execution, implementation, and close-out of IT projects.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio level reporting.
  • Operate the business project intake pipeline.
  • Supervise the logistics of turning business requests into IT initiatives.
  • Evaluate project intake forms for completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with business units to understand their requests and advocate for their IT needs.
  • Assist, support, and provide analysis to project managers.
  • Assist IT project teams with driving identified projects to completion.
  • Assist in the identification and execution of critical path project activities while keeping the IT leadership team updated as to the status of critical issues & risks.
  • Maintains relevant infrastructure and operations project documentation and departmental procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing. This includes, but is not limited to, project templates, project dashboards, process flows, and tools.
  • Work closely with departmental teams to assist in the smooth transition from project implementation to 'business as usual' production support.
  • Proactively recommend improvements to systems, services, and the reliability of the overall IT service portfolio.
  • Coordinate with IT implementation partners to transition work requests to active projects.
  • Facilitate budget approvals for IT initiatives.
  • Maintain and support portfolio project management tools.
  • Provide support for non-project work that needs to be accomplished to maintain the IT portfolio.
  • Support the work of IT project managers and business analysts.
  • Occasionally manage small IT projects.
